Award Citation:

The Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for the year 2022 in Chemical Sciences has been awarded to Dr Debabrata Maiti of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai for his significant contributions in developing transition-metal catalysis for transforming organic molecules to prepare value added materials by site selective functionalization, leading impact on agrochemicals and pharmaceuticals industry.
